Thane Police Officer Killed in VVIP Duty Amid 40 Lakh Loot Discovery

In Thane, a 40‑lakh loot was uncovered, and a police security officer assigned to Deputy CM Shinde’s VVIP duty was killed.
Police in Thane recovered a stash worth approximately 40 lakh rupees during a routine inspection of a property.
The loot was discovered by officers from the Thane Police Department, who were conducting a standard security sweep.
In a separate incident, a Police Security Officer (PSI) who was deployed in VVIP duty for Deputy CM Shinde was killed while on duty.
Authorities have launched an investigation into both the theft and the circumstances surrounding the officer’s death, and are coordinating with the Deputy CM’s office for further action.
