TGSWREIS teachers demand promotions and regularisation in Telangana

Teachers employed under the Telangana Government School Welfare and Regularisation scheme have rallied for promotion and regularisation benefits.
A group of teachers serving under the Telangana Government School Welfare and Regularisation (TGSWREIS) scheme convened in Hyderabad to press for promotion and regularisation of their posts. The educators highlighted that many of them have been working on contractual or temporary terms for several years, limiting their career growth and job security.
Representatives of the teachers' association submitted a formal request to the state education department, outlining the need for clear promotion pathways and conversion of temporary appointments into regular positions. They argued that regularisation would not only reward long‑serving staff but also improve the overall quality of education in government schools.
The state government has acknowledged receipt of the petition and indicated that it will review the demands in line with existing policies and budgetary provisions. No definitive decision has been announced yet, and the teachers have signalled they will continue to engage with authorities until a resolution is reached.
