The Telangana Road Transport Corporation (RTC) union election results were announced on October 17. The outcome reflects the mandate of workers in the state's public transport sector.
Voting for the Telangana RTC union was held in the weeks preceding October 17, and the election committee declared the results on that date. The process was conducted across various depots and workshops of the corporation throughout the state.
The union represents thousands of employees working in the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation, and the elected office‑bearers will now negotiate on issues such as wages, working conditions and welfare measures.
Officials overseeing the poll said the voting was peaceful and transparent, and the newly elected representatives are expected to assume their responsibilities shortly after the result announcement.
