Telangana orders closure of schools and colleges tomorrow for Ganesh idol immersion

Hyderabad: The Telangana state administration issued an order that all educational institutions – schools and colleges – will be shut on Thursday, the day scheduled for Ganesh idol immersion. The decision, released through an official circular, aims to ensure public safety and smooth conduct of the immersion rituals that mark the conclusion of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

Authorities said the closure will help manage traffic, crowd movement and security arrangements at immersion sites across the state, especially in major cities such as Hyderabad and Warangal. Transport services are expected to be redirected to support devotees and volunteers handling the process.
