The Telangana government has launched a WhatsApp‑based platform that lets parents receive their children’s school progress cards directly on their phones.
The state of Telangana announced the rollout of a new WhatsApp facility that will deliver school progress cards to parents digitally. The initiative is aimed at simplifying access to academic records for families across the state.
Under the scheme, parents can register their mobile numbers with schools and receive the progress card as a WhatsApp message once it is prepared. The service eliminates the need for physical collection and reduces paperwork, aligning with the government’s broader push for e‑governance.
Education officials said the platform will be operational from the launch date and will be extended to all government‑run schools in the coming weeks. They expect the digital channel to improve transparency and timeliness of information for students and their families.
