Telangana fights to secure its entitled share of river water

Telangana officials have reiterated that the state is entitled to a specific quantum of water from the major rivers flowing through its territory, and they are now pressing for the release of that share as per existing agreements. The demand comes against a backdrop of long‑standing inter‑state water disputes that have seen tribunals and courts intervene to allocate water based on historic usage and legal entitlements.
