The Electoral Registration Officer for Goshamahal has warned political parties against pressuring Booth Level Officers to accept bulk Form-7 submissions without applicant signatures.

The Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of the Goshamahal constituency in Telangana has raised serious concerns regarding the conduct of political parties during the ongoing Service Inquiries (SIR) process. The official stated that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are being coerced into accepting bulk submissions of Form-7, which is the application for removal of names from the electoral roll.

According to the ERO, many of these forms are being submitted without the necessary signatures of the applicants, violating standard electoral procedures. This irregularity has prompted the election authority to intervene to ensure the integrity of the voter list revision process.

The ERO issued a stern warning to all political parties operating in the constituency, stating that any further attempts to pressure BLOs into accepting such non-compliant documents will lead to strict administrative action. The official emphasized that the SIR process must be conducted transparently and in accordance with the law.

This incident highlights the ongoing tensions in Telangana's electoral administration, where maintaining the accuracy of the electoral roll is a critical priority ahead of future elections.
