The state’s elite EAGLE Force has traced sixty individuals suspected of transporting hydroponically grown cannabis, marking a significant crackdown on illicit drug networks.
The Telangana Enforcement and Anti‑Ganja Law Enforcement (EAGLE) Force announced that it has successfully traced sixty persons believed to be involved in the transport of hydroponically cultivated cannabis. The operation, carried out over the past few weeks, involved coordinated surveillance, intelligence sharing and verification of logistics routes used by the suspects.
Hydroponic cultivation allows cannabis to be grown without soil, producing higher yields and making detection more challenging for law‑enforcement agencies. Authorities have warned that such methods are increasingly being adopted by organized crime groups to supply the illicit market across the state.
