Telangana Cricket Body Threatens Legal Action Over Unapproved TG20 League

The Telangana Cricket Association has sent legal notices to prominent figures including actors Vijay Deverakonda and Venkatesh, and cricketers Mohammed Siraj, Ambati Rayudu, and Tilak Varma, citing their alleged association with the proposed TG20 League without necessary BCCI approval.

The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) has taken a firm stance against the proposed TG20 League, issuing legal notices to several well-known personalities. Among those who have received the notices are film actors Vijay Deverakonda and Venkatesh, alongside cricketers Mohammed Siraj, Ambati Rayudu, and Tilak Varma.

The primary contention raised by the TCA is the alleged lack of mandatory approval from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the formation and operation of the TG20 League. The association has indicated its intent to pursue legal action should the association with the league continue.

This move by the Telangana Cricket Association highlights concerns regarding the adherence to established cricket governance norms and the necessity of obtaining official sanctions for sporting events involving prominent athletes and celebrities.
