The Telangana government has declared a 13‑day vacation for all schools in the state, spanning October 10 to October 22, to coincide with the Dasara festival.
The state education department issued a circular announcing a 13‑day holiday for every school in Telangana, effective from October 10 through October 22.
The break aligns with the Dasara festivities, one of the most widely celebrated cultural events in the region, and will apply to primary, secondary and higher‑secondary institutions alike.
Officials said the extended recess is intended to give students and teachers time to observe the festival, while also easing academic pressure ahead of the upcoming board examinations.
Parents have been urged to make necessary arrangements for childcare and travel, and schools are expected to resume regular classes on October 23.
