Candidates seeking a pay raise for Class‑2 and Class‑3 teacher posts have been staging an indefinite protest at Neelam Park, Bhopal, with one demonstrator fasting for three days.

An indefinite protest by candidates of the 2025 teacher recruitment for Class‑2 and Class‑3 positions is under way at Neelam Park in Bhopal. The protestors are demanding a salary hike, alleging that the current pay scale does not reflect the responsibilities of the roles.

Among the demonstrators, a candidate identified as Narendra Rajput has been on a hunger strike for three days, refusing food and water to press the demand for a pay revision. He says the fast will continue until the authorities address the issue.

The protestors have set up a makeshift camp in the park and are maintaining a peaceful sit‑in, though they have not disclosed the exact number of participants. The state education department has not issued an official response, and the recruitment process remains pending pending resolution of the wage‑related grievances.

Local residents have reported the presence of the protest but note that it has not disrupted the normal functioning of the park. The movement highlights growing discontent among aspirants over remuneration in the public education sector.

Authorities are expected to review the demands, but no concrete timetable has been announced, leaving the protest ongoing.
