Tahawwur Rana’s 26/11 terror trial to begin November 16 in Delhi’s Tihar Jail

Tahawwur Rana, a Pakistani‑Canadian national, has been in judicial custody since his extradition to India in 2020 over his alleged role in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.
The special NIA court in Delhi has fixed November 16 as the date for framing of charges and the commencement of the trial proceedings.
Rana is accused of providing logistical support to the attackers, including arranging travel and communication devices used during the siege.
If convicted, he faces a possible death penalty or life imprisonment under India’s anti‑terror laws.
