West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari signed the UDAN agreement, attributing previous delays in airport development to the TMC's stance.

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has officially signed the agreement related to the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) scheme, marking a significant step in the state's aviation infrastructure development. The move aims to enhance air connectivity within the region.

Addressing the issue of prolonged delays in the establishment of new airports, Adhikari placed the responsibility on the previous ruling party, the Trinamool Congress (TMC). He described the TMC's 'attitude' as the primary factor that hindered progress on these projects during their tenure.

By finalizing the pact, the current state government seeks to expedite the construction and operationalization of airports in West Bengal. This decision is expected to boost regional connectivity and support economic growth through improved air travel options.
