West Bengal leader Suvendu Adhikari alleged that the ‘Bhaijo gang’ allocated two crore rupees to finance a shootout linked to the murder of a personal assistant.

Suvendu Adhikari, a senior leader of the Trinamool Congress, asserted that a criminal outfit identified as the ‘Bhaijo gang’ had set aside about ₹2 crore to organise a shootout connected with the killing of a personal assistant. He made the statement during a press interaction, emphasizing that the money was earmarked specifically for the violent encounter.

According to Adhikari, the gang’s financial backing was intended to facilitate an armed confrontation that escalated after the assistant’s murder, suggesting a pre‑planned operation rather than a spontaneous clash. He urged law‑enforcement agencies to intensify their probe and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The claim adds a new dimension to an ongoing investigation into the assistant’s death, which has already drawn attention from state police. No official confirmation of the alleged funding has been released, and authorities have not yet disclosed details about the gang’s identity or the exact nature of the planned shootout.

Stakeholders, including opposition parties, have called for a transparent inquiry, while the police have said they are reviewing all leads, including financial trails, to verify the allegations made by the politician.
