An unidentified person allegedly threw a sutli bomb from the Double Decker Tal area opposite Patna College, causing the device to land inside the campus and trigger panic among those present on Teacher's Day.
On Teacher's Day, a sutli bomb was thrown from the Double Decker Tal area situated opposite Patna College. The device landed inside the college premises.
The landing of the device caused immediate panic among students, teachers and staff who were celebrating the occasion. Many rushed to safer spots while others sought shelter inside classrooms and corridors.
Local police reached the spot shortly after the incident and have begun an investigation. They are examining CCTV footage from the area and trying to trace the unidentified person who threw the bomb.
Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward. Sutli bombs, though low‑intensity, are illegal explosive devices often made from fireworks, and their use near educational institutions raises serious safety concerns.
