Suspect on Handcuffs Flees on Bike During Jail Transfer, Injuring Two Police in Badwani

During a police escort in Badwani, a handcuffed suspect escaped by leaping onto a motorcycle, which crashed and injured two officers who were taken to the district hospital.
Badwani, Madhya Pradesh – While police were transporting a detainee to the local jail, the suspect, still handcuffed, managed to break free by jumping onto a waiting motorcycle. The sudden maneuver caused the bike to lose control and overturn, striking two constables who were part of the escort team.
Both officers sustained injuries that required immediate medical attention. They were rushed to Badwani District Hospital where they are receiving treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.
Local police officials said the incident is under investigation and that steps are being taken to review escort protocols to prevent similar breaches in the future.
