Producer Namit Malhotra has announced that Sunny Deol will play the lead role in a new standalone Hanuman film. The announcement comes after the release of Ramayana 2, which also featured the actor in a prominent role. The new project is expected to focus exclusively on the story of Lord Hanuman, separate from the Ramayana saga.
The confirmation was made public by Malhotra during a recent interview, where he emphasized the actor’s suitability for the mythological character. While details such as the film’s title, release date, and supporting cast remain undisclosed, the news has generated interest among fans of both the actor and the genre.
Industry observers note that the decision to produce a dedicated Hanuman film follows a trend of mythological movies gaining popularity in Indian cinema. The project is anticipated to add to the growing portfolio of devotional and epic films in Bollywood.
