On Tuesday, students in Patna marched from Gandhi Maidan to the Raj Bhavan, broke barricades and called for the 70th BPSC exam to be cancelled and alleged irregularities investigated.
Patna witnessed a large student demonstration on Tuesday as hundreds gathered at Gandhi Maidan and proceeded towards the Raj Bhavan. The protesters, primarily aspirants for the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examinations, voiced strong opposition to the conduct of the 70th BPSC exam.
The crowd broke through police‑set barricades along the route, chanting slogans that demanded the immediate cancellation of the exam and a probe into alleged irregularities. Organisers emphasized that the integrity of the selection process had been compromised, urging the state government to intervene.
The demonstration highlighted growing frustration among BPSC candidates over perceived lapses in the examination system. While authorities have not yet issued a formal statement, the students’ demand for a revote and a transparent inquiry remains the central focus of the protest.
