Students at Patiala University began a firm protest outside the Vice‑Chancellor's office to demand action on campus issues.
Students from Patiala University staged a firm protest outside the Vice‑Chancellor’s office early this morning. The demonstrators, holding placards and banners, demanded that university authorities address several concerns raised by the student community.
The protest, which has been described as a ‘pukka’ or firm sit‑in, began quietly but quickly drew attention from faculty and administration. Participants called for clearer communication from the VC’s office and a review of campus policies.
University officials have yet to respond publicly to the students’ demands. The protest remains ongoing, with students maintaining a peaceful presence outside the VC’s office.
The campus community is closely monitoring the situation, hoping for a constructive dialogue between students and university leadership.
