Around 200 aspirants demanding changes in the Bihar Daroga recruitment process broke barricades near the state assembly and confronted police at JP Golambar.

Patna – Late afternoon on Monday, a large group of candidates appearing for the Bihar Daroga recruitment exams gathered near the state legislative assembly. The protesters, many of whom are awaiting results of the BPSC 70th exam and BSSC, demanded a set of 13 demands that include clearer eligibility criteria and faster result declaration.

The crowd forced its way through police‑set barricades at the JP Golambar junction, a key access point to the assembly complex. Police responded with baton charges and water cannons to disperse the demonstrators, leading to a brief but intense clash.

No serious injuries were reported, though several participants were taken into custody for violating public order. Authorities have said they will review the grievances but emphasized the need to maintain law and order around the assembly premises.

The protest underscores growing frustration among job‑seekers in Bihar over delayed recruitment processes and perceived lack of transparency in state examinations.
