Students Briefed on Pox Act in Mohali

Mohali, Punjab – Local education authorities organised a short briefing for school‑level students on the Pox Act, a legislation aimed at controlling pox‑related diseases. The session covered the key provisions of the act, the responsibilities of citizens, and preventive measures recommended by health officials.

Students were encouraged to ask questions and were provided with printed material summarising the act’s main points. The initiative forms part of a broader effort by the state to raise public awareness about communicable‑disease regulations.

The programme concluded with a reminder that adherence to the act’s guidelines can help curb outbreaks and protect community health.
