Party insiders say state president Dhillon may file nomination from Ludhiana North in the upcoming polls, according to Amar Ujala.
Ludhiana, Punjab – Speculation is growing that the state president of the party, Dhillon, could be fielded from the Ludhiana North assembly constituency in the forthcoming state elections. The rumor surfaced in a report by Amar Ujala, which cited unnamed party insiders as the source of the information.
The report indicates that discussions among senior party members and local leaders have centered on Dhillon's potential candidacy, suggesting that his name is being considered to strengthen the party's prospects in the urban seat.
No official statement has been released by the party or by Dhillon himself, and the speculation remains unconfirmed. Analysts note that a high‑profile candidate could alter the dynamics of the contest in Ludhiana North, a constituency that has traditionally seen close battles.
The development will be closely watched as parties finalize their candidate lists ahead of the election schedule announced by the Election Commission.
