Indian Railways will operate a special train numbered 09801/09802 between Kota (Rajasthan) and Panipat (Haryana) on October 22 and 26 to handle the festival‑season passenger surge.
The Ministry of Railways announced a special service to ease the heavy footfall expected during the upcoming festive period. Train numbers 09801 and 09802 will ply between Kota in Rajasthan and Panipat in Haryana on 22 October and again on 26 October, making two round‑trips each day.
The special train will follow the regular Kota‑Panipat corridor, stopping at major stations en route. While exact departure and arrival times have not been disclosed, the schedule is designed to provide convenient options for travelers heading to or returning from festival celebrations in both states.
Railway officials said the additional service is part of a broader effort to manage the seasonal spike in passenger demand and to offer a reliable alternative to road travel, which often becomes congested during holidays.
