South Goa police have intensified road user education efforts following a recorded 10% increase in road accidents. The initiative aims to raise awareness and reduce further mishaps.

The South Goa police department announced that it will prioritize road user education as a key strategy to tackle the rising number of accidents. Officials said the focus will be on informing drivers, pedestrians and cyclists about safe road practices.

They plan to conduct awareness campaigns, distribute educational material and engage with local communities, schools and transport operators. The goal is to instill responsible behaviour on the roads and prevent further mishaps.

Police emphasized that education, combined with enforcement, can help reverse the upward trend in accidents recorded over the recent period. They urged all road users to cooperate and adopt safer habits.
