Smart Eco-Friendly Toilets Installed at Hampi, Pattadakal, and Shravanabelagola to Boost Tourism
High-tech, environment-friendly automated toilets have been installed at three major heritage sites in Karnataka to enhance cleanliness and promote tourism.
The Karnataka government has installed high-tech, environment-friendly automated toilets at the heritage sites of Hampi, Pattadakal, and Shravanabelagola. The initiative aims to prioritize cleanliness and improve the overall experience for visitors at these prominent tourist destinations.
These 'smart toilet' facilities are designed to be self-sufficient and eco-friendly, addressing the critical need for modern sanitation infrastructure at historical monuments. By introducing automated systems, the authorities seek to maintain high standards of hygiene in areas that attract a significant number of domestic and international tourists.
The installation of these facilities is part of a broader strategy to boost tourism in the state. By ensuring that essential amenities are modern and well-maintained, the move intends to make these iconic sites more accessible and appealing to travelers, thereby supporting the local tourism economy.
