The Shiromani Kisan Morcha (SKM) has announced that it will stage rallies on November 26 in four cities across Punjab, aiming to mobilise farmer support ahead of upcoming political events.
The Shiromani Kisan Morcha (SKM) disclosed plans to conduct public rallies on November 26 in four major cities of Punjab. The announcement was made through a press release circulated to regional media outlets, confirming the dates and the intent to address farmer concerns.
While the specific cities were not listed in the release, the organization indicated that the gatherings will focus on pressing agricultural issues and will serve as a platform for farmers to voice their demands to the state government.
SKM officials emphasized that the rallies are part of a broader strategy to consolidate farmer sentiment ahead of the upcoming election cycle. They urged participants to maintain peaceful conduct and adhere to local regulations during the events.
Law enforcement agencies in the affected districts have been notified and are preparing to ensure security and order during the demonstrations. No further details on attendance estimates or logistical arrangements have been provided at this stage.
The move comes amid ongoing debates over agricultural policies in the state, with farmer groups seeking greater input on reforms affecting crop pricing and subsidies.
