Police in Mohali have discovered a six-month pregnant minor who was allegedly raped in the Nayagaon locality.
Police officials in Mohali confirmed that a minor, estimated to be around twelve years old, was found six months pregnant after an alleged rape in the Nayagaon area. The girl was taken to a government hospital where doctors verified the pregnancy and reported no signs of life‑threatening injuries.
Investigators have registered a criminal case under sections of the Indian Penal Code dealing with rape and child sexual abuse. A forensic team is collecting evidence, and the suspect(s) are being sought based on statements from the victim’s family and neighbours.
