In Sirsa, local officials have accused the Aam Aadmi Party of Punjab of hiding stubble fires that have been burning across the region. The claim comes amid growing concerns over air pollution and agricultural practices.
Local authorities in Sirsa have alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab has been deliberately hiding stubble fires that have been burning across the region. The accusations were made during a press briefing where officials cited rising air pollution levels and the lack of transparency from the party.
The stubble fires, which are common after harvest, have been a source of concern for environmental groups and residents alike. Critics argue that the fires contribute significantly to smog and health hazards in the surrounding areas.
The AAP has denied any involvement in concealing the fires and has called the allegations "unfounded". The party has urged the government to address the issue through proper monitoring and enforcement of agricultural regulations.
The dispute highlights the growing tension between neighboring states over shared environmental challenges and the role of political parties in addressing them.
