Silver canopy stolen from Sitaram Temple in broad daylight

A silver canopy, a valuable ornamental piece, was reported missing from the Sitaram Temple on a busy day of worship. The theft occurred in plain sight as devotees gathered for prayers, allowing the perpetrator to blend into the crowd. Witnesses said the thief entered the sanctum area, lifted the canopy and fled before security could react. Police arrived on the scene within minutes after the alarm was raised and managed to detain the suspect near the temple premises. The incident is now under investigation, and authorities are reviewing CCTV footage to determine how the theft was executed and whether any accomplices were involved.
