Sikkim will launch its inaugural week-long adventure tourism festival on November 1, aiming to boost the state's adventure‑travel profile.
Sikkim's tourism department announced that the state will hold its inaugural adventure tourism festival, a week‑long celebration beginning on 1 November 2026.
The event, organised by the Sikkim Tourism Development Board in collaboration with local adventure clubs, will showcase the region's rugged mountains, trekking trails, river sports and cultural heritage, inviting both domestic and international adventure enthusiasts.
State officials expect the festival to generate a noticeable uplift in visitor footfall during the off‑season, providing business to hotels, guides and ancillary services, and reinforcing Sikkim's position as a premier Himalayan adventure destination.
