At the 8th Sarathi Samman Diwas ceremony held in Sikkim, the state’s Chief Minister addressed the gathering of professional drivers and announced a continuation of existing welfare initiatives.

The CM highlighted the importance of supporting drivers, who play a vital role in the state’s transport network, and assured that the government would sustain benefits such as health insurance, pension schemes and skill‑development programmes.

The event, attended by thousands of drivers and their families, aimed to recognize their contributions and reinforce the state’s commitment to their well‑being.
