Sikkim CM officiates Vastu Puja for new Jan Seva Bhawan in Gangtok

The Chief Minister of Sikkim attended a Vastu Puja ceremony in Gangtok to bless the newly constructed Jan Seva Bhawan, a public‑service building intended to house multiple government offices under one roof. The event was organized by the state administration and drew officials from various departments.

The Jan Seva Bhawan is expected to streamline citizen services by providing a single location for applications, grievances and information. State officials said the facility will reduce the time and effort required for residents to access government schemes.

During the puja, the CM emphasized the importance of efficient public infrastructure for the state's development agenda. He also noted that the building reflects the government's commitment to modernising service delivery while respecting cultural traditions.

The Vastu Puja, a customary Hindu ritual that seeks auspiciousness for a structure, was performed by a priest according to traditional rites. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of prasad and a brief address to the gathered dignitaries.
