A 23‑year‑old MBBS student from Sikar suffered a sudden heart attack during basketball practice. Doctors discovered a complete blockage in a coronary artery and performed an emergency angioplasty that saved his life.

A 23‑year‑old MBBS student in Sikar collapsed while playing basketball, prompting an immediate medical response from his classmates and nearby medical staff. The student was rushed to a local hospital where emergency physicians quickly assessed the situation.

Initial tests revealed a complete blockage in one of the coronary arteries, a condition that can lead to fatal heart attacks if not treated promptly. The medical team decided to perform an urgent angioplasty to restore blood flow.

During the angioplasty, a catheter was inserted into the blocked artery and a small balloon was inflated to open the passage, followed by placement of a stent to keep the artery open. The procedure was successful, and the patient was stabilized in the intensive care unit.

The student is now recovering and has expressed gratitude for the swift action of his peers and the medical team. The incident highlights the importance of immediate medical intervention in cardiac emergencies.
