The arrest was made public by local media, confirming the ACB's involvement in the case.
According to the investigation, Sharma allegedly approached factory owners and demanded a sum ranging between Rs 20,000 and Rs 30,000. In exchange, he promised to conceal inspection shortcomings and refrain from initiating any regulatory action against the establishments.
The ACB has opened a formal inquiry into the matter, and Sharma is currently being held for further questioning. No additional arrests or related incidents have been reported at this stage.
