A shutdown has crippled the valley districts of Manipur, halting transport, commerce and daily life.
A widespread shutdown has brought the valley districts of Manipur to a standstill, affecting transportation, commerce and essential services.
Roads linking the districts have been closed, preventing the movement of goods and commuters. Public transport services, including buses and shared vehicles, have been suspended.
Businesses ranging from small shops to larger enterprises have reported loss of revenue due to the halt in customer footfall. Schools and government offices in the affected areas have also been shut down.
Authorities are monitoring the situation closely and have urged residents to stay indoors until the shutdown is lifted. The impact is expected to persist until the underlying issues prompting the strike are resolved.
The shutdown underscores the fragility of infrastructure in the valley and highlights the need for swift resolution to restore normalcy.
