Shubham Gill to Represent Punjab in Ranji Trophy Ahead of NZ Test Series
Shubham Gill will play for Punjab in the Ranji Trophy as a preparation for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand.
Shubham Gill is set to take the field for Punjab in the Ranji Trophy as part of his preparation for the forthcoming Test series against New Zealand.
The selection comes ahead of the red‑ball practice that will help Gill adapt to the conditions expected in the Test series. By playing in the domestic competition, he will gain valuable match experience against strong opposition.
Punjab’s coaching staff view the opportunity as a chance to assess Gill’s readiness for international cricket and to fine‑tune his technique for the challenges posed by the New Zealand attack.
The match will also provide the Punjab side with a competitive fixture, allowing the team to strengthen its batting and bowling line‑up before the national team’s series against the Kiwis.
