Shruti Haasan Sues Bombay High Court Over AI Deepfakes and Unauthorized Endorsements

Actress Shruti Haasan has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking legal action against the use of AI-generated deepfakes and unauthorized endorsements that exploit her identity.

The petition alleges that the deepfakes, which mimic Haasan's voice and appearance, have been circulated without her consent, leading to potential defamation and commercial exploitation.

Haasan requests the court to issue injunctions to halt further distribution of the content and to award damages for the misuse of her image and reputation.

The Bombay High Court will review the case and determine whether the court can intervene to protect the actress's rights.
