Shreyas Iyer has moved into the top four of the ICC T20I batting rankings, placing him alongside fellow Indians Kishan and Abhishek.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has updated its men's T20I batting rankings, and Shreyas Iyer has broken into the top‑four positions. This move places the Hyderabad‑based batsman alongside two of his countrymen, Kishan and Abhishek, who were already occupying spots in the elite group.
Kishan and Abhishek have maintained their places among the world’s best T20I batsmen, and Iyer’s ascent reflects consistent performances in recent bilateral series and global tournaments. The three now share the distinction of being the only Indian players in the top four of the ICC’s list.
The development underscores the depth of India’s short‑format batting talent and adds momentum to the national side ahead of upcoming international fixtures. Analysts note that having three Indians in the top tier could boost confidence and strategic options for the team’s management.
