Central Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan arrived in the flood‑hit Tersia Diyara area of Raghopur, Vaishali district, on a visit organised by the state government. The minister was accompanied by Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, who expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the central assistance.
Both leaders toured the affected fields using a boat and a tractor, inspecting the extent of damage caused by the recent floods. They met with local farmers and discussed relief measures.
The visit aimed to assess the impact of the floods on agriculture and to coordinate further support from the central government. Officials confirmed that additional resources would be allocated to help farmers recover.
