A Shiv Sena delegation met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis demanding an official inquiry into an audio clip involving Manoj Jarange, according to Mid-Day.
Maharashtra's opposition party Shiv Sena sent a senior delegation to the residence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday. The group presented a request for a formal probe into a recently circulated audio recording that allegedly features Manoj Jarange, a figure linked to the state’s political landscape.
The delegation, whose members were not named in the report, emphasized the need for transparency and accountability, arguing that the clip could have implications for public trust in the government. They urged the chief minister to order an independent investigation to verify the authenticity of the recording and to identify any potential misuse of the material.
Fadnavis, who heads the ruling BJP-Shiv Sena coalition in the state, acknowledged receipt of the delegation’s demand. While he did not provide an immediate response, sources close to the chief minister’s office indicated that the matter would be examined by the appropriate investigative agencies.
The call for a probe comes amid heightened political sensitivities in Maharashtra, where coalition partners have been navigating internal disagreements. The outcome of any inquiry could influence the dynamics between the Shiv Sena and the BJP-led government.
Mid-Day reported the meeting and the delegation’s demand, noting that no further details about the audio clip or its contents were disclosed at this stage.
