The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee’s internal committee met and approved several important resolutions, announcing a General Assembly on 20 November.
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) convened its internal committee in Amritsar, where members deliberated on a range of administrative and religious matters. The meeting concluded with a series of resolutions that will shape the committee’s agenda for the coming months, including decisions on temple management, financial oversight, and community outreach programmes.
Among the outcomes, the committee announced that the SGPC’s General Assembly – the highest decision‑making body of the organization – will be held on 20 November. The assembly is expected to bring together elected representatives from across Punjab and other Sikh institutions to review policies and elect office‑bearers.
Organisers have indicated that the venue and detailed agenda will be communicated shortly, and that the assembly will adhere to all security and public‑health protocols. The decisions taken today are seen as a step toward addressing longstanding administrative challenges within the SGPC.
