Seven arrested in Bhind for illegal fertilizer trade and fake DAP sales

The Madhya Pradesh agriculture department’s complaint led police in Fup and Bharouli police stations to file FIRs against seven suspects in two cases related to illegal fertilizer dealings and counterfeit DAP in Bhind district.
Police in the Bhind subdivision of Madhya Pradesh launched a coordinated operation after receiving a complaint from the state agriculture department. The action targeted individuals suspected of running an unauthorized fertilizer business and of distributing counterfeit diammonium phosphate (DAP) in the area.
Separate First Information Reports (FIRs) were lodged by the Fup and Bharouli police stations, covering two distinct cases but involving a total of seven accused persons. The allegations include the procurement, storage and sale of fertilizer products that do not meet legal quality standards, as well as the deliberate marketing of fake DAP to farmers.
Authorities said the crackdown aims to protect agricultural inputs and prevent financial loss to the farming community. The investigation remains ongoing, and further legal steps will be taken based on the evidence gathered during the raids.
