Sep 29 Deadline Set for Voter Registration in Bangalore Teachers' and Karnataka South-East Graduates' Constituencies
The Chief Electoral Officer of Karnataka has announced that applications for voter registration must be submitted by September 29, ahead of the October 6 nomination deadline for the 2026 biennial elections.
The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka, issued a notice stating that September 29 is the final date to submit Forms 18 and 19 for voter registration under the continuous revision process for the 2026 biennial elections to the Bangalore Teachers' and Karnataka South-East Graduates' constituencies.
The deadline aligns with the Election Commission of India's schedule, which sets October 6 as the last day for filing nominations for these seats.
In a letter dated September 25, the Chief Electoral Officer instructed the Electoral Registration Officer and the Returning Officer concerned to scrutinise and dispose of all applications received by the September 29 cut‑off in accordance with prescribed rules.
Voters eligible under the teachers' and graduates' categories are urged to complete the registration process promptly to ensure their names appear on the electoral roll before nominations close.
