Actor‑politician Seeman has voiced concerns about the practice of screening films at 6 AM in Tamil Nadu, arguing it may hurt audience turnout and disrupt the industry’s schedule.
Seeman, known for his work in Tamil cinema and his political activism, recently spoke to the Times of India about the growing trend of 6 AM film screenings in Tamil Nadu.
He expressed that while producers argue early morning showings can increase revenue, the practice may alienate audiences who find it inconvenient and could reduce overall box‑office returns.
Seeman called for a review of the scheduling policies and urged producers and distributors to consider viewer convenience before setting such early times.
The issue has sparked debate among film industry stakeholders, with some producers defending the strategy as a way to maximize screen usage, while others echo Seeman’s concerns about audience fatigue.
