The Bhopal administration has begun security, traffic, health and civic preparations for the Ijtema scheduled at Itkhedi from December 4 to 7, including help desks at the railway station and bus stand.
Bhopal’s Itkhedi area will host an Ijtema from December 4 to 7, drawing participants from across the region. The event, organized by local religious groups, is expected to be one of the larger gatherings in the city this year.
In anticipation, the district administration has mobilised teams to oversee security, manage traffic flow, and ensure health services are on standby. Civic amenities such as clean water, sanitation and medical aid are being set up at strategic points around the venue.
Special help desks are being installed at the Bhopal railway station and the main bus stand to assist pilgrims with information, lost‑and‑found services and emergency contacts. Officials say these desks will serve as the first point of contact for any issues that arise during the gathering.
Overall, the coordinated effort aims to provide a safe and orderly environment for worshippers, allowing the Ijtema to proceed without disruptions.
