SC Bar Association urges Meghalaya bar bodies to drop resolution against Advocate General

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has formally asked bar bodies in Meghalaya to drop a resolution that targets the state's Advocate General.

The resolution, passed by the Meghalaya State Bar Council and other local bar associations, criticized the Advocate General’s conduct.

SCBA’s request reflects concerns about professional conduct and the role of bar associations in regulating lawyers.

The Advocate General serves as the chief legal advisor to the state government.
