The body of an elderly beggar, identified as Bihari Lal Pathak, was found inside a locked room in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, prompting a swift police investigation. Detectives traced the case to another beggar who shared a dwelling with the deceased. The suspect, Raveendra, who also goes by the names Lala and Narendra Mishra, was apprehended after police linked him to the crime scene through witness statements and forensic evidence.
According to the Satna police, the motive behind the killing was financial greed; the accused allegedly coveted ₹37,000 that the victim possessed. The investigation remains ongoing, and the accused is currently in custody pending further legal proceedings.
