Sariska Tiger Reserve in Alwar to Resume Safari from October After Monsoon Break

After a three‑month monsoon pause, the Sariska Tiger Reserve in Alwar will reopen its jungle safaris from October, offering both morning and evening slots. The park currently houses 56 tigers – 11 males, 18 females and 27 cubs.
The Forest Department of Rajasthan announced that the Sariska Tiger Reserve, located near Alwar, will restart its jungle safari operations from October, ending the three‑month suspension caused by the monsoon season.
Visitors will be able to book safari tours in two daily shifts – a morning slot and an evening slot – allowing greater flexibility for tourists and wildlife enthusiasts.
According to the latest count, the reserve is home to 56 tigers, comprising 11 males, 18 females and 27 cubs, reflecting a healthy breeding population.
The revival of the safari is expected to boost local tourism and provide additional revenue for communities surrounding the reserve, while also promoting conservation awareness among visitors.
