Samsung is reportedly planning to discontinue its One UI interface in favor of a new operating system called Galaxy OS. The update will feature a significant design overhaul and introduce paid tiers for artificial intelligence capabilities.
Samsung is preparing to make a significant shift in its software strategy by potentially retiring its popular One UI interface. According to recent reports, the tech giant is developing a new operating system branded as Galaxy OS, which is expected to replace the current user interface across its device lineup.
The transition to Galaxy OS is not just a name change; it involves a massive redesign of the user experience. The new interface aims to offer a more streamlined and modern look, distinguishing Samsung's ecosystem from its competitors more clearly.
A key aspect of this update is the introduction of paid AI features. While basic functionalities will remain free, advanced artificial intelligence tools are expected to be available through subscription models or premium packages. This move signals Samsung's intent to monetize its AI capabilities directly to users.
The company has not yet announced a specific timeline for the rollout of Galaxy OS, but these changes are expected to be part of the next major software update cycle for its flagship and mid-range devices.
