The Sports Authority of India announced enhanced transport, accommodation and medical arrangements for the Indian contingent participating in the 2026 Asian Games in Japan.
The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has disclosed a comprehensive upgrade to the logistical framework that will support Indian athletes at the upcoming Asian Games 2026. The move comes as part of SAI’s broader effort to ensure that the nation’s sporting representatives can compete without operational hindrances.
Under the new plan, SAI will coordinate dedicated transport fleets, secure accommodation close to competition venues, and provide a streamlined supply chain for sports equipment and nutrition kits. In addition, a team of medical professionals and physiotherapists will travel with the contingent to address health and recovery needs on site.
The enhanced support is being organised in close collaboration with the Indian Olympic Association, which will oversee team selection and overall delegation management. Officials say the logistics package is designed to allow athletes to focus solely on performance.
